Welcome to all the new subscribers, so great to have you with us! If you haven’t already, please do check out the first Unbox Your Words post which was sent out on Sep 10th, you can find it here. We’ve been having a lovely time over there thinking about moving furniture, breaking habits, and playing a little Word Cricket.
Every month, as well as a writing provocation/prompt/exercise on the 10th of the month, I’ll be sending you a second short email a week or two later, just when you might need another shot of permission & inspiration. When I thought about what I might like to send you in this first month of Unboxing Your Words, this was the piece that immediately came to mind! I came upon it six months ago when looking for something for a workshop on hybrid writing that I was running - and I fell in love. It seems to me that it not only might pass on permission to play, that’s actually what the piece is all about.
Here it is - you might love it, you might not, it might inspire all sorts of reactions in you, or none at all. Feel free to let us know any thoughts in the comments! I’ve included a link to an interview with the author, too, in case you fancy reading/listening to that after you read the piece.
